How To Become A Diamond?

By Evan Sanders

There's an old saying that goes something along the lines of...

A diamond is a chunk of coal that handled pressure extraordinarily well.

Everyone is faced with pressure.

The pressure comes from all everywhere, inside and outside. However, it's about how you handle the pressure that really matters.

So all of this really comes down to choice, and that's what I want to bring out in you today.

We are all going to be faced with adversity and tragedies in life but the major difference maker between those who crumble to pieces and those who turn into diamonds is how they decide to react to life's tests and trials.

So how are you going to handle the pressure?

The first person takes the position of victim and lets everything fall apart around him or her. They let their relationships fall apart, they stop taking care of themselves, they lose their integrity and start withering away.

The second person decides that they are going to face their problems and understand that pressure is the name of the game. Pressure is part of what makes you grow.

They know that the pressure makes them stronger and better.

If only we could take on this attitude about our problems in life.

We all face pressure.

Never lose sight of the fact that you aren't alone in the world and that everyone has issues.

But here's the thing. There's something deep inside of us that wants us to bring out our gifts that we have been given. If we succumb to the pressures of life, those gifts may stay hidden inside forever.

For those who are willing to step into their struggles, they will change the world in ways that haven't been done before. They will be able to shape and morph their lives for the good of others.

And for the final piece of the puzzle...

You will start asking for challenges because they make you stronger.

You will ask whatever you believe in...for more challenges on your journey to make you grow into the person you need to become.

When you come to this place, you will see your challenges as a great gift.

The choice is really yours.

Turn to coal...or turn into a diamond?

Become a diamond.
