4 Types Of Vlogs Recognized By Long Island Advertising Agencies

By Rob Sutter

Also known as video blogs, vlogs are among the most popular forms of content online today. Even though they are mostly prevalent on YouTube, they can be found across a number of websites that host user-made content. What you may know is that vlogs fall into different subtypes, which your local Long Island advertising agency can attest. Here are 4 types of vlogs that should be recognized.

Lifestyle - A lifestyle vlog, for those that don't know, takes the viewer into the life of the vlogger behind the camera. While many of these videos tend to be sit-down discussions, usually in one's bedroom or office, others take viewers on trips. These can range from simple grocery store trips to full-on vacations. Whatever the case may be, this is one of the many varieties that companies along the lines of fishbat can tell you about.

Unboxing - If you're a fan of toys, comic books, or video games, chances are that you're familiar with this type of vlog. For those that aren't, unboxings are videos that show individuals unwrapping the packaging of whatever it is they purchased. From there, they will offer descriptions and close-ups of their valued items. Depending on your interest in the items being presented, these videos may persuade you to take the plunge and buy them.

Beauty - It's easy to obsess over the way we look, even to the point where we seek help. Beauty vlogs are designed to provide people with the cosmetic insight they've been looking for. Topics that fall under this umbrella include, but aren't limited to, hair care, makeup, and moisturizing. Your mileage may vary depending on your level of interest in cosmetics, but the fact that this category gains considerable traction speaks for itself.

Gaming - One of the most unique aspects about gaming vlogs is that they can be found on a variety of platforms. In fact, it can be argued that this type of content is what made Twitch so popular. Nonetheless, this type of video has the ability to showcase different types of videos, including those with gameplay footage. What this means is that content creators have more freedom in what they showcase, whether it's an old-school game, a brand-new title, or some other piece of software entirely.
