Companies use various mediums to reach their target market. Conventional print ads are not being used as digital displays nowadays because of their cons. Decades ago, businesses still relied on print displays but there have been changes on the way of increasing sales through digitizing ads. Below are the advantages of using LED billboard advertising over the traditional or conventional print ads.

The first benefit of this form of promotion is that it cuts the cost of production. There is no creation of posters which is very expensive. Conventional print advertising was expensive because one had to make copies of the message by creating posters. The cost of printing was high in addition to paying for labor to put the flyers or brochures on the screen. The cost of production has gone down because of the elimination of printing costs.

Similarly, digital screen advertising has reduced waiting time for ads to be displayed on the screen. In the past, traditional displays companies required their clients to send them the posters weeks before the due date so that they can make preparation. One had to wait before his ad can be aired which was not very effective. However, since the message in the LED display ads is made electronically, it is possible to send it the same way and have it on the screen the same day.

The strategic location of these screens is the other advantage of using them. This form of outdoor advertising is becoming prevalent also because the screens are located in central locations like city squares or streets that are very busy where passersby can easily see the content of the screen. Because of the brightness of the displays, many people can see its contents from far. A large portion of people is therefore reached by the information in the ad.

Adaptability is also a reason. Sometimes one might want to change the date in the ad or add some message to the content. This can be easily done on digital screens but it is almost impossible to do it in traditional screens. The content is printing which means everything must be changed hence making them less flexible. Furthermore, different brands can be promoted on the same screen one after another in intervals.

Again, it often is easy to make the advertisement short but have it stay on the screen for a long time. The time for exposure is two weeks but you can change that by reducing the length of the ad but choose specific days for which you get a space on the billboard. It helps improve the efficiency in the promotion budget.

Moreover, businesses prefer this form of outdoor advertising because of the time slots. There are certain ads you cannot air at certain periods. If you own a bar, you cannot start promoting it in the morning of a Monday morning. An appropriate time to advertise is Friday afternoon or evening when people are going home for the weekend.

Lastly, they enhance innovation. Businesses can come up with great ideas using the LED billboards. For hotels that are open throughout the day serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the ads can be customized for each meal rather than using the same ad for all meals.
